Amoras, de Emicida, e a identidade da criança negra : uma perspectiva de análise crítica do discurso multimodal

Resumo: In this qualitative research of bibliographical interpretative nature, considering the need for children’s social education, it is proposed an analysis of the children's book AMORAS, by Emicida, based on three complementary theories; the Systemic Functional Linguistics, functionalist approach to language developed by Halliday e Matthiessen (2004), the Grammar of Visual Design, by Kress and van Leeuwen (2006), and the Critical Discourse Analysis of Fairclough (1995). Based on these theories, we intend to achieve the main goal of investigating how identity issues are addressed through the centrality of race in the book AMORAS, by Emicida. And we intend to reach this goal through the following specific objectives: Describe the verbal and imagetic representations of race and its intersections with other social markers of difference; Discuss the discursive and social practices revealed in multimodal discourse; Evaluate to what extent these identity issues addressed in the book AMORAS point to the potential role of children's literature in overcoming asymmetrical power relations.

A partir de tais teorias, pretende-se atingir o objetivo principal: investigar como questões identitárias são tratadas a partir da centralidade da raça no livro AMORAS, de Emicida.
