A teologia narrativa como proposta para compreensão dos cristianismos

Resumo: This thesis on narrative theology aimed to investigate how the theological discourse in the history of Christianity was “plastered” by the idea of orthodox theology propagated by a certain group of Christians in the early years of the emergence of the Christian religion. The hypothesis that permeates our thesis is to defend that there are several narrative theologies and that these constitute the voices through which the most diverse groups of Christians express their experiences with God. Narrative theology as a means of reflecting on one's own faith makes it possible for us to understand all this diversity of theology in the Christian religion. For this reason, we take the Mormon religion as an example, as there are others, of what we defend by narrative theology and, as a reference, the Book of Mormon, a work translated in 1830 by Joseph Smith. It should be noted that narrative theology constitutes an extremely important element for the construction and reflection of the ethnic/cultural identity of the most diverse Christian communities throughout the history of Christianity. To achieve our thesis, we analyze how Joseph Smith, born in a Christian home, appropriates and reconfigures the theological discourse, to bring a new perspective regarding God, Jesus, the Church.

Esta tesis sobre teología narrativa tuvo como objetivo investigar cómo el discurso teológico en la historia del cristianismo fue “enyesado” por la idea de teología ortodoxa propagada por cierto grupo de cristianos en los primeros años del surgimiento de la religión cristiana. La hipótesis que impregna nuestra tesis es defender que existen varias teologías narrativas y que éstas constituyen las voces a través de las cuales los más diversos grupos de cristianos expresan sus experiencias con Dios. La teología narrativa como medio de reflexión sobre la propia fe nos permite comprender toda esta diversidad de teologías en la religión cristiana. Por ello, tomamos como ejemplo, como hay otras, la religión mormona de lo que defendemos desde la teología narrativa y, como referencia, el Libro de Mormón, obra traducida en 1830 por José Smith. Cabe señalar que la teología narrativa constituye un elemento de suma importancia para la construcción y reflexión de la identidad étnica/cultural de las más diversas comunidades cristianas a lo largo de la historia del cristianismo. Para lograr nuestra tesis, analizamos cómo José Smith, nacido en un hogar cristiano, se apropia y reconfigura el discurso teológico, para traer una nueva perspectiva respecto a Dios, Jesús, la Iglesia.NenhumaA presente tese sobre teologia narrativa teve por objetivo investigar como o discurso teológico na história dos cristianismos foi “engessado” pela ideia de teologia ortodoxa propalada por um determinado grupo de cristãos ainda nos primeiros anos de surgimento da religião cristã. A hipótese que perpassa nossa tese está em defender que existem diversas teologias narrativas e, que estas constituem as vozes pelas quais os mais diversos grupos de cristãos expressam suas experiências com Deus. A teologia narrativa como meio de reflexão da própria fé possibilita-nos compreender toda essa diversidade de teologia na religião cristã. Por essa razão tomamos a religião dos mórmons como um exemplo, pois há outros, do que defendemos por teologia narrativa e, como referencial o Livro de Mórmon, obra traduzida em 1830 por Joseph Smith. Cabe ressaltar que a teologia narrativa constitui um elemento de suma importância para a construção e reflexão da identidade étnica/cultural das mais diversificadas comunidades cristãs ao longo da história dos cristianismos.
