Maracatus rurais do Recife: entre a religiosidade popular e o espetáculo.

Resumo: | The object of this study is the dialogic relationship Maracatu Rural Cruise Forte with spectacle promoted by the tourism and entertainment industries in Recife / PE, where this group of popular culture operates. Maracatu is a manifestation of popular culture typical of the state of Pernambuco. It's called the "game", however is both a religious expression african-Indian-Brazilian rhythm and dance that inspire public presentations on holidays. Reference of the popular culture of Pernambuco, and constantly asked by media outlets, the Maracatu Rural arises between the nineteenth and twentieth centuries in the North Forest area of Pernambuco, is reinvented in relation to its firsts manifestations and brings elements of rural life. This process occurred with the crisis in the sugar industry of the decade of the 30th century causing individuals to move and recreate the event in Recife where they live. This baggage, religious memory goes through several processes of redefinition and resistance, which are acquired new forms of interpretation and worship to the sacred, especially after the interference tentative from tourists spectacles . The objective of this research was: to analyze the dialogue form of coexistence between religiosity and popular cultural spectacle in Maracatu Cruzeiro do Forte in Recife/PE. This was a qualitative research, documentary and ethnographic, focus group and especially in the main leaders of this Maracatu. It was found that even with the influences of organized spectacle of the culture industry that operates in the Carnival period in Recife / PE, this Maracatu preserves and respects their religious-symbolic essences that make up its structure material, spiritual and immaterial. The authors and theorists who inspired this research were: Prandi (1999), Eliade (2001), Guy Debord (1997), Canclini (1983, 2006 and 2008), Featherstone (1995), Lipovetsky (1991), Durand (1988), Geertz (1989), Bittencourt Filho (2003), Berger (2004), Brandão (1989), Ferretti (1995 and 2007), among many others. |

O Maracatu é uma manifestação da cultura popular típica do estado de Pernambuco. É chamado de brincadeira , no entanto é ao mesmo tempo uma expressão religiosa afro-indígena-brasileira e um ritmo de dança que inspiram as apresentações públicas em datas festivas. Referência da cultura popular pernambucana, e constantemente requisitado pelos veículos midiáticos, o Maracatu Rural surge entre os séculos XIX e XX na região da Mata Norte pernambucana, é reinventado em relação às primeiras manifestações e traz consigo elementos da vida rural. Este processo ocorreu com a crise do setor açucareiro da década de 30 do século XX levando os indivíduos a migrar e recriar a manifestação em Recife onde foram morar. Nesta bagagem, a memória religiosa passa por diversos processos de ressignificação e resistência, em que são adquiridas novas formas de interpretação e culto ao sagrado, especialmente após as tentativas de interferência dos espetáculos para turistas. O objetivo geral desta pesquisa foi: Analisar a forma do diálogo da convivência entre a religiosidade popular e o espetáculo cultural no Maracatu Cruzeiro do Forte em Recife/PE. Esta foi uma pesquisa qualitativa, documental e etnográfica, focalizada no grupo e principalmente nas principais líderes deste Maracatu. Constatou-se que mesmo com as influências da espetacularização promovida da indústria cultural que atua no período carnavalesco de Recife/PE, este Maracatu conserva e respeita as suas essências simbólico-religiosas que compõem a sua estrutura material, espiritual e imaterial.
