Resumo: | Person, emotion and value are fundamental categories to comprehend Max Scheler’s thought. They are ontological concepts a part from the philosopher structures his Ethics. Our study developed in special considering his main books, Formalism in Ethics and Non-Formal Ethics of Values, The Nature of Sympathy, and The human place in cosmos and other complementary texts, is that the moral world may not been thought separated from our sensorial universe. In fact, the phenomenological conception of Scheler’s ethics is able to overtake the formalism presents at the Kant’s rationalism, allowing an ethics based on comprehension of personal feelings expressions comprehension, without being reduced to ethics of sympathy or an utilitarianism view. We consider, yet, that the Scheler’s philosophy only may be understand linking the concepts person, value and emotion as a hermeneutic principle. And, then, parting from these concepts, we intend to elaborate fundamentals from an ethics of caring. Thus, grounded on this, we firstly discourse about the concept of person, analyzing his onto-anthropological fundamentals and his influence in the human natural. Thus, it is possible to define the man as the world’s and history’ fundament, which is able to distinguish and elevated himself above all over living beings and also his psychophysical (body-mind) in reason of his spirit. The spirit, besides, became the person a being determined by liberty and transcendence. The person appears as self-value. An anthropology of being person may not been separated of a values’ ontology and its relation with valuable things, ends and obligations. From the connection between person and value, it is possible to describe the emotion’s place at the ethical personalism of Scheler. Emotions are ways to express the world of values and the way of person’s being, making possible to comprehend the other and the personal’s moral constitution. The emotional life never might been unlinked from moral decisions. While the objects of the world are apprehended by a sentimental perception, the other only can be comprehended through an act of love. Love permits an authentic live together, and it means that we became able to recognize the other’s dignity, to comprehend his way of being and the form as he judges the world and order the valuable things universe. Love is the gnosiological act that makes possible a person participates in a being of other. Thence, the Scheler’s philosophy about the moral world give conditions to build an ethic by and for caring based on the concepts of person, value and emotion. |

Love is the gnosiological act that makes possible a person participates in a being of other. Thence, the Scheler’s philosophy about the moral world give conditions to build an ethic by and for caring based on the concepts of person, value and emotion.
