Construção e validação de um instrumento para a consulta de enfermagem aos usuários diabéticos no Programa Saúde da Família.

Introduction: Family’s Health is a reorientation of the assistance model, in accordance with the principles of SUS, made up of multi-professional teams which operate dynamically in health-care units by means of promotion, prevention, disease fighting and aggravations that appear to be most frequent, and in the maintenance of the families’ health of a limited territory, with well-defined responsibilities between the service and population accompanied. In this context, the nurse acts in activities such as education, organization, planning, assessment of health actions, nursing services, among others. Nursing services, based on a theoretical model and also on a nursing-process scientific methodology, arises as a powerful instrument for the control of chronicle degenerative diseases, like the diabetes, in the basic care. In this research, the Self-Care Theory utilization was chosen, as proposed by Orem, due to the fact that it is seen as the most applicable for the service of diabetic users. Objectives: To construct and validate an instrument for nursing service for diabetic users received in the family’s health program. Methodology: This is a methodological study, accomplished in family’s health units, in the city of João Pessoa- PB. It was developed in three stages: identification of empirical indicators of universal and developmental self-care requirements, and health deviations in diabetic people; validation, by nurses who work in family’s health, of identified empirical indicators for the instrument construction; validation of instrument’s form and content, by nurses. Results: In the very first stage, 227 identified empirical indicators were evaluated from the field’s updated literaturewith 139 related to the universal self-care requirements, 22 to developmental requirements, and 66 to health-deviation requirements, with the ones who had the agreement index equal or higher than 0,80, included in the instrument. In the second stage, a preliminary version of the data-collection instrument was constructed from empirical indicators validated. The validation of form and content, which contemplated the third stage of the research, was realized by assistance nurses of family’s health units, generating the nursing assistance planning instrument for diabetic people received in the family’s health program. Final considerations: The research has made it possible to construct and validate an instrument for nursing services for diabetic users in the family’s health program. It is believed that the application of the instrument will provide a service of a higher quality for diabetic users, making data registration easier and communication more effective for the team as well as the appreciation of nurses in the institution.
