Resumo: | The capacity of the soil to support load efforts can be measured from field tests, together with laboratory tests. When it found a soil with a resistance below the expected to support the loads coming from the constructions, geotechnical investigations are the main sources for the determination of corrective measures, in order to make the enterprise viable. This research carried out a study of the main methods used for soil improvement, as well as which method would be best applied to the case study, which was carried out for a soil in the city of Garanhuns-PE. The research was carried out through a bibliographic review on the theme and a documentary case study, through which the survey reports provided by the company ASPT were analyzed. The objective of this work was to discuss the main methods of soil improvement, exemplifying the different types of actions necessary for such procedures. From the results it was verified that the different methods could be applied for the improvement of the soil of the studied region, but what was more suitable for application in the study area was the Jet Grouting method. |

Quando encontrasse um solo com uma resistência abaixo do esperado para suportar as cargas advindas das construções, são as investigações geotécnicas as principais fontes para a determinação de medidas corretivas, de forma a tornar o empreendimento viável. Esta pesquisa realizou um estudo dos principais métodos utilizados para o melhoramento do solo, bem como qual método seria melhor aplicado ao caso de estudo, o qual foi realizado para um solo da cidade de Garanhuns-PE. A pesquisa foi realizada através de uma revisão bibliográfica acerca do tema e um estudo de caso documental, por meio do qual se analisou os relatórios de sondagem cedidos pela empresa ASPT. O objetivo desse trabalho foi discutir os principais métodos de melhoramento de solo, exemplificando sobre os diversos tipos de ações necessárias para tais procedimentos.
