Resumo: This article discusses issues relating to Legal Anthropology and the Anthropology of Religion , creating a connection between these areas through religious theme . This theme is part of a broader discussion about the relationship between the nation state and religious freedom in the state from the principle of secularism , assumes the role of regulator of the diversity of religious expression , operating from certain notions of what is religion , which are not necessarily given explicitly . Thus, if adopted as the object of study the various manifestations of intolerance towards african - Brazilian religions in the religious field and in relation to public space and state apparatuses . The reason for my study have focused on religious intolerance was to bring academic research the importance of the interface between the anthropological study and the legal field , from the elucidation of conflicts of african - religious field.

Este tema se insere em uma discussão mais ampla sobre a relação entre o Estado-Nação e a liberdade religiosa, em que o Estado a partir do principio da laicidade, assume o papel de regulador da diversidade das manifestações religiosas, operando a partir de determinadas noções do que é religião, que não necessariamente são apresentadas de forma explícita. Assim, adota-se como objeto de estudo as diversas manifestações de intolerância em relação às religiões afro-brasileiras dentro do campo religioso como em relação ao espaço público e os aparatos do Estado. O motivo de o meu estudo ter como foco a intolerância religiosa foi trazer para a pesquisa acadêmica a importância da interface entre o estudo antropológico e o campo jurídico, a partir da elucidação dos conflitos do campo afro-religioso.Abstract: This article discusses issues relating to Legal Anthropology and the Anthropology of Religion, creating a connection between these areas through religious theme.
