Resumo: Este texto tem por objetivo relatar a experiência da realização do “Agosto Negro”, que conta com três edições na cidade de Pelotas, sendo realizadas pelo Coletivo Negada. Coletivo este que se percebe inserido em uma época onde há um sentimento de ausência de discussões mais acaloradas sobre as necessidades da comunidade negra e a necessidade do diálogo entre a comunidade externa e a universidade. Por isso constrói ações na tentativa de compartilhar um pouco do conhecimento acadêmico, adquirido pelo grupo, em atividades educacionais e culturais no mês de agosto, visando assim contribuir com a histórica luta negra na cidade de Pelotas.Abstract: This article aims at describing the completion of "Black August", which has three editions in the city of Pelotas, being held by the Collective Negada. This collective is perceived inserted in an era where there is a feeling of absence of more heated discussions about the needs of the black community and the need for dialogue between the university and the external community. So build actions in an attempt to share some of the academic knowledge acquired by the group in educational and cultural activities in the month of August, thus aiming to contribute to the historic black struggle in the city of Pelotas.
