RESUMO: O objetivo deste artigo é analisar as manifestações de lazer numa comunidade rural de descendentes germânicos, e as implicações do lazer na construção da identidade e memória do grupo, a partir dos tensionamentos e conflitos existentes. A pesquisa foi realizada na Colônia Triunfo e contou com uma metodologia da observação participante nos eventos religiosos e não religiosos e entrevistas a depoentes jovens e da geração antiga. Num primeiro momento nos apropriamos dos conceitos de identidade e memória do imigrante no contexto histórico da imigração, como os valores e as tradições foram reinventados. Em segundo lugar percebemos as implicações entre trabalho, religião e lazer. Por fim, analisamos como o lazer provoca o sentimento de pertencimento do grupo, estabelecendo redes de sociabilidade nos campos da religião, lazer e trabalho. ABSTRACT: The objective of this article is to analyze the manifestations of leisure in a rural community of German descendents, and the implications of leisure on the construction of the personality and the memory of the group, from the existing tensions and conflicts. The research was carried out at “Colônia Triunfo” and counted on a methodology of participating observation at religious and non-religious events and interviews with young and of older generation witnesses. At a first moment we appropriated for the concepts of identity and memory of the immigrant in the historical context of the immigration, the way the values and the traditions have been reinvented. Second we observed the implications between work, religion and leisure. At last, we analyzed how leisure provokes the feeling of belonging to a group, establishing nets of sociability in the fields of religion, leisure and work.
