Resumo: O artigo objetiva fazer um trabalho comparativo entre a graphic novel Sweet Tooth (2009-2013), do autor canadense Jeff Lemire, e a série homônima lançada pela Netflix em 2021, em adaptação de Jim Mickle. Serão consideradas as principais modificações da série em relação ao texto original. A pesquisa examinará como alguns elementos visuais e textuais principalmente do Horror (normalmente ligado ao Gótico) são claramente evitados na série, que prefere focar em elementos fantásticos ou realistas. A presente análise será feita principalmente observando teorias a respeito do Horror e do Gótico e sobre adaptação intermidiática.

The research considers the main alterations presented by the series in relation to the original text and examines the clear avoidance, again in the series, of visual and textual elements mainly from horror (normally connected to the gothic), because Netflix’s Sweet Tooth prefers to focus on fantastic or realistic elements.
