De acordo com o Código Penal brasileiro, o homicídio doloso é definido como a ação de matar alguém intencionalmente, possuindo, portanto, uma dinâmica distinta de outros tipos de crime não violentos, como o furto, por exemplo. O objetivo principal, desse modo, é promover a compreensão sociológica do homicídio doloso, situando-o como uma modalidade criminosa específica, por meio de uma visão abrangente, que combina aspectos relativos aos cenários sociais em que esses crimes ocorreram, de forma articulada às características do ofensor e da vítima, na produção de um quadro analítico acerca das configurações de homicídios no estado de Pernambuco. A intenção é, portanto, esclarecer processos, padrões e dinâmicas envolvidas no fenômeno em questão, mais do que identificar possíveis fatores causais. Visando esse propósito, utilizamos um modelo teórico-metodológico que incorpora as características sociais do ofensor, da vítima e da “ofensa” em seu esquema analítico, a fim de possibilitar a identificação de semelhanças e distinções na estrutura e no processo das configurações de homicídio entre grupos diferentes e também ao longo do tempo. A técnica utilizada, para atingir esse objetivo, foi a Análise de Correspondência, que possibilitou a identificação das combinações entre os atributos dos casos estudados, explorando as inter-relações existentes entre as variáveis analisadas a fim de fornecer uma visão “global” dos dados. Os resultados encontrados foram analisados e interpretados à luz do referencial teórico da sociologia do crime e da violência.CAPESThe doctoral thesis here presented has as its study object the comprehension of the social dynamics that underlies the occurrence of intentional homicide, in the state of Pernambuco, between the years 2004 and 2014. According to the brazilian Penal Code, the intentional homicide is defined as the action of intentionally kill another person, presenting, therefore, distinct dynamics when compared to non violent crimes such as theft, for instance. Neverthless, the main goal of this research is to promote the sociological comprehension of the intentional homicide, analyzing it as a specific criminal form through a broader perspective wich combine aspects related to the crime scene,the offender and the victim. This approach allows the construction of an analitical frame about the configurations of homicides in the state of Pernambuco. The intention, therefore, is to clarify processes, patterns and dynamics that are involved in the social phenomenon, more than just identify possible causal effects. Seeking this goal, we use a theoretical and methodological model wich takes into account the caracteristics of both offender and victim, as well as the offense on its analytical scheme, allowing the identification of similarities and distinctions along the structure and in the process of homicide configuration among different groups, as well as over the time. The technique used to achieve this purpose is the Correspondence Analysis, wich allowed the identification of the combinations of attributes among the study cases, exploring the interrelationships among the analyzed variables, looking for a global vision of the data.
