A presente pesquisa realizou uma análise geoambiental da área do estudo, identificando as características do seu meio físico, biótico e socioeconômico para fins de caracterização e discussão dos impactos derivados dessa construção e atividades relacionadas a ela. Para isso seguiu a abordagem teórica do Geossistema, que faz correlações com os vários elementos que compõe a paisagem, levando em consideração também a ação antropogênica. Para realização dessa análise foram utilizadas técnicas de Sensoriamento Remoto e Geoprocessamento que foram indispensáveis para melhor obtenção de dados e visualização dos parâmetros analisados através dos produtos cartográficos que foram gerados. Verificou-se que o meio ambiente em que o complexo está inserido sofreu grandes transformações que antecederam a construção e que foram intensificadas por ela. Tais transformações aumentaram sua vulnerabilidade ambiental, principalmente a riscos relacionados a movimentos de massa e inundações, o que pode acarretar em grandes prejuízos sociais.CAPESFor the construction and development of the Suape Complex, a major change in the configuration of its landscape was necessary occurring degradation of their environment, as well as an intensification of migration, requiring an increase in demand of basic services. This research conducted a geo-environmental analysis of the study area, identifying the characteristics of their physical, biotic and socio-economic purposes for characterization and discussion of the impacts derived from this building and activities related to it. To this he followed the theoretical approach geosystem, which is correlated with the various elements that make up the landscape, taking into account also the anthropogenic action. To perform this analysis were used Remote Sensing and GIS that were indispensable for better data collection and visualization of parameters analyzed using cartographic products were generated. It was found that the environment in which the complex is inserted has changed considerably leading to the construction and were strengthened by it.
