BETWEEN EXPERIENCES AND SURVIVALS: THE QUALITY OF LIFE OF PSYCHOLOGY UNDERGRADUATES DURING THE PANDEMIC PERIOD (2020-2021)

Resumo: | This study analyzed the quality of life of psychology undergraduates from a private Higher Education Institution in Sobral/CE during the COVID-19 pandemic period (2020-2021). Not only study their quality of life, but also explore the ways they use or not to take care of themselves during this period, and investigate the relationship of these students with their own educational institution. For this, a socio-demographic questionnaire and an interview built from the WHOQOLBREF quality of life scale (by World Health Organization) were used. Data were analyzed with dialogic thematic analysis, in which the quality of life and its domains (physical, psychological, social and, environmental), served as the theme and the subthemes to be analyzed and related to theoretical data. We then obtained the result that the participants were affected in quality of life with regard to the quality of sleep, food and also had a weakening in some social relationships. However, we also perceived spirituality, and social relationships themselves as protective factors during the pandemic period. It is therefore concluded that quality of life is a broad topic, and that it was affected in different ways during the pandemic period, both negatively and positively, which highlights the importance of further studies in the area. |

No solo estudiar su calidad de vida, sino también explorar las formas que utilizan o no para cuidarse durante este período, e investigar la relación de estos estudiantes con su propia institución educativa. Para ello, se utilizó una escala sociodemográfica y una entrevista construida a partir del cuestionario de calidad de vida WHOQOLBREF. Los dados fueron evaluados a una metodología de análisis temático dialógico, donde la calidad de vida y sus dominios (físico, psicológico, social y ambiental), sirvieron como tema y subtemas siendo analizados a partir de los materiales teóricos recolectados. Obtuvimos entonces el resultado de que los participantes se vieron afectados en la calidad de vida en cuanto a la calidad del sueño, la alimentación y también tuvieron un debilitamiento en algunas relaciones sociales. Sin embargo, también percibimos la espiritualidad y las propias relaciones sociales como factores protectores durante el período de la pandemia. Por lo tanto, se concluye que la calidad de vida es un tema amplio y que se vio afectada de diferentes maneras durante el período de la pandemia, tanto negativa como positivamente, lo que resalta la importancia de realizar más estudios en el área.Este trabalho teve como objetivo analisar a qualidade de vida dos formandos de psicologia de uma Instituição de Ensino Superior particular de Sobral/CE durante o período pandêmico de COVID-19 (2020-2021). Não só analisar sua qualidade de vida, como também explorar as formas que eles utilizaram ou não utilizaram para cuidar de si próprios durante esse período, e averiguar a relação desses alunos com a própria instituição de ensino deles. Para tal, foram usados um questionário sociodemográfico e uma entrevista construída a partir da escala de qualidade de vida WHOQOLBREF da Organização Mundial de Saúde. Os dados foram analisados a partir da metodologia de análise temática dialógica, de modo que a qualidade de vida e seus respectivos domínios (físico, psicológico, social e ambiental) serviram de tema e subtemas sendo analisados a partir dos materiais teóricos coletados. Obtivemos então o resultado de que os participantes foram afetados em qualidade de vida no que diz respeito a qualidade de sono, alimentação e também tiveram uma fragilização em algumas relações sociais. Porém também percebemos a espiritualidade, e as próprias relações sociais como fatores protetivos durante o período da pandemia.
