Resumo: This study aims to assess the changes in the quality of life of university students due to the transition to remote classes during the COVID-19 pandemic and the return to face-to-face classes, in the period from 2020 to 2023. This study took a comparative, descriptive and longitudinal research approach. To this end, the Whoqol-Bref questionnaire, developed by the World Health Organization (WHO), was applied electronically through the MOODLE platform. Data collection took place over the years 2020 to 2023, covering remote and face-to-face classes, with a total of 199 participants (n=199). The answers were treated anonymously and the statistical analysis of the data was carried out using Microsoft Excel, based on the spreadsheet by Pedroso et al. (2010), which allows scores and descriptive statistics to be calculated. It was found that students in remote classes felt more comfortable with the environment, while students in face-to-face classes valued social interactions more after the isolation of the pandemic. Both scenarios had challenges on psychological well-being due to emotional factors. It is concluded that there is a need for holistic approaches to improve student wellbeing, including mental health support and the promotion of healthy habits.   Keywords: Remote cass. COVID-19. Pandemic. Quality of life. College students.
