The presence of popular education and health in the letters of Carlos Rodrigues Brandão

Resumo: The article aims to highlight the presence of the themes: Popular Education and Health, in letters by Carlos Rodrigues Brandão, in order to promote a dialogue between these two fields of action. It is a documentary research based on unpublished materials by Carlos Rodrigues Brandão (letters) and other materials from magazines: Notebooks of the Ecumenical Center for Documentation and Information (CEDI) and Notebooks of Popular Education of Nova: research, evaluation and advice, which they are important interlocutors of educational processes, linking the themes of Popular Education and Health. Data analysis had reflective contributions from reference authors in the field of Popular Education, among them we highlight: Paulo Freire, Osmar Fávero, Fernanda Paulo and Eymard Mourão Vasconcelos. We identified, among the results of this study, that in Brazil and Latin America, there is a lack of first-hand documentary studies, referring to Popular Education. The experiences presented are little known and studied, thus, they have potential for the production of education for insurgencies: this is a Latin American pedagogy.

Se trata de una investigación documental basada en materiales inéditos de Carlos Rodrigues Brandão (cartas) y otros materiales de revistas: Cadernos do Centro Ecumenico de Documentação e Informação (CEDI) y Cadernos de Educação Popular do Nova: investigación, evaluación y asesoramiento, que son importantes interlocutores de procesos educativos, vinculando los temas Educación Popular y Salud. El análisis de datos contó con aportes reflexivos de autores de referencia en el campo de la Educación Popular, entre ellos se destacan: Paulo Freire, Osmar Fávero, Fernanda Paulo y Eymard Mourão Vasconcelos. Dentificamos, entre los resultados de estudio, que en Brasil y América Latina hay una falta de estudios documentales de primera mano, referidos a la Educación Popular. Las experiencias presentadas son poco conocidas y estudiadas, por lo que tienen potencial para la producción de educación insurgente: esta es una pedagogía latino-americana.O artigo objetiva evidenciar a presença dos temas: Educação Popular e Saúde, em cartas de Carlos Rodrigues Brandão a fim de promover um diálogo entre esses dois campos de atuação. Trata-se de uma pesquisa documental tendo como base materiais inéditos de Carlos Rodrigues Brandão (cartas) e outros materiais oriundos de revistas: Cadernos do Centro Ecumênico de Documentação e Informação (CEDI) e Cadernos de Educação Popular do Nova: pesquisa, avaliação e assessoria, as quais são importantes interlocutoras dos processos educativos, vinculando as temáticas Educação Popular e Saúde. A análise dos dados teve contribuições reflexivas de autores referência do campo da Educação Popular, entre eles destacamos: Paulo Freire, Osmar Fávero, Fernanda Paulo e Eymard Mourão Vasconcelos. Identificamos, entre os resultados deste estudo, que no Brasil e na América Latina, há uma carência de estudos documentais de primeira mão, referindo-se a Educação Popular.
