THE MANAGEMENT OF AGGRESSIVE BEHAVIOR IN EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION: REPORTS FROM PROFESSIONALS

Resumo: | This research had as its goal to investigate the practices of handling aggressive behavior in children in kindergarten. Fifteen professionals participated, with different levels of training and experience. Data collection was performed through semi-structured interviews, lasting 40 to 80 minutes, remotely, using the Google Meet platform. Data were organized and analyzed according to the thematic analysis methodology proposed by Braun and Clarke. The results point to the importance not only of the management practices themselves, but also the maintenance of the affective-emotional climate of the teacher-student relationship, facilitated by an attitude of respect and acceptance by professionals in moments of intervention on aggressive behavior. The emotional strain generated by the children's aggression situations was also highlighted, as well as the role of the school institution in management strategies. It is understood that there is a complexity in handling these situations in early childhood education and, therefore, the need for the involvement of various sectors for an adequate management. |

Participaron 15 profesionales, con diferentes niveles de formación y experiencia. La recogida de datos se realizó por medio de entrevistas semiestructuradas en línea, con duración de 40 a 80 minutos, a través de la plataforma Google Meet. Los datos fueron organizados y analizados de acuerdo con la metodología de análisis temático propuesta por Braun y Clarke. Los resultados señalan la importancia de no solamente las prácticas de manejo propiamente dichas, sino también de la manutención de la relación maestro-alumno bajo un ambiente afectivo-emocional, favorecido por una actitud de respeto y acogida de los profesores en los momentos de intervención sobre las conductas agresivas. Además se ponen de relieve el desgaste emocional generado por las situaciones de agresión entre los niños, así como el papel de la institución escolar en sus estrategias de manejo. Se entiende que hay una complejidad en el manejo de dichas situaciones en la educación infantil y, por consiguiente, la necessidad del involucrar a varios sectores para manejarlo adecuadamente.Esta pesquisa teve o objetivo de investigar as práticas de manejo dos comportamentos agressivos em crianças na educação infantil. Participaram 15 profissionais, com diferentes níveis de formação e experiência. A coleta de dados foi realizada por meio de entrevistas semiestruturadas, com 40 a 80 minutos de duração, de maneira remota, pela plataforma Google Meet. Os dados foram organizados e analisados segundo a metodologia de análise temática, proposta por Braun e Clarke. Os resultados apontam para a importância não somente das práticas de manejo propriamente ditas, mas também da manutenção do clima afetivo-emocional da relação professor-aluno, facilitado por uma atitude de respeito e acolhimento dos profissionais nos momentos de intervenção sobre os comportamentos agressivos. Também foram ressaltados o desgaste emocional gerado pelas situações de agressão das crianças, bem como o papel da instituição escolar nas estratégias de manejo.
