Sensitive listening in early childhood education: a child-centered pedagogical approach

Resumo: The main objective of this study is to analyze the process of listening to children's manifestations in early childhood education and their incorporation into the planning and implementation of pedagogical practice. The discussions are based on the conceptual perspective of the Sociology of Childhood, in the conception of children as producers of culture and languages. The methodological procedures used are based on descriptive and exploratory research with a qualitative approach. Observations in the reference room of a preschool class and the interview with the educator responsible for the class were chosen as the data production instruments. The reflections made in this study had as their main theoretical support the work of researchers such as Belloni (2009); Corsaro (2011), Sarmento (2008), Rinaldi (2012), Friedmann (2019), Delgado and Müller (2005), and Müller (2006). Based on the research findings, it was possible to organize three study categories: a) space/time in children's routine; b) planning through children’s voices; c) perception of children and their voices. The results showed a minimized, controlled participation, in which the teacher does not use pedagogical strategies so that the children actively participate, taking a position on their learning process. It is concluded, in view of this, that children are competent subjects who need to be considered in their different languages, and by viewing them as the center of the pedagogical proposal it is possible to carry out meaningful and participatory work with them, which expands their development. which affirms the importance of sensitive listening for the development and conduct of educational actions in early childhood education.

Las discusiones se basan en la perspectiva conceptual de la Sociología de la Infancia, en la concepción de los niños como productores de cultura y lenguas. Los procedimientos metodológicos utilizados se basan en una investigación descriptiva y exploratoria con enfoque cualitativo. Como instrumentos de producción de datos se eligieron las observaciones en el aula de referencia de una clase de educación infantil y la entrevista con el educador responsable de la clase. Las reflexiones realizadas en este estudio tuvieron como principal sustento teórico el trabajo de investigadores como Belloni (2009); Corsaro (2011), Sarmento (2008), Rinaldi (2012), Friedmann (2019), Delgado y Müller (2005) y Müller (2006). A partir de los hallazgos de la investigación, fue posible organizar tres categorías de estudio: a) espacio/tiempo en la rutina infantil; b) planificación a través de las voces de los niños; c) percepción de los niños y sus voces. Los resultados mostraron una participación minimizada, controlada, en la que el docente no utiliza estrategias pedagógicas para que los niños participen activamente, tomando posición en su proceso de aprendizaje. Se concluye, ante esto, que los niños son sujetos competentes que necesitan ser considerados en sus diferentes lenguas, y al verlos como el centro de la propuesta pedagógica es posible realizar con ellos un trabajo significativo y participativo, que amplíe su desarrollo., que afirma la importancia de la escucha sensible para el desarrollo y conducción de acciones educativas en la educación infantil.O presente estudo tem como objetivo central analisar o processo de escuta das manifestações das crianças na educação infantil e sua incorporação nos planejamentos e efetivação da prática pedagógica. As discussões apoiam-se na perspectiva conceitual da Sociologia da Infância, na concepção de criança como produtora de cultura e linguagens. Os procedimentos metodológicos utilizados possuem como base uma pesquisa descritiva e exploratória com abordagem qualitativa. As observações na sala de referência de uma turma pré-escolar e a entrevista com a educadora responsável pela turma foram escolhidas como os instrumentos de produção de dados. As reflexões tecidas neste estudo tiveram como principais suportes teóricos o trabalho de pesquisadores como Belloni (2009); Corsaro (2011), Sarmento (2008), Rinaldi (2012), Friedmann (2019), Delgado e Müller (2005), e Müller (2006). A partir dos achados na pesquisa foi possível organizar três categorias de estudo: a) espaço/ tempo na rotina das crianças; b) o planejamento através das vozes das crianças; c) a percepção sobre as crianças e suas vozes. Os resultados evidenciaram uma participação minimizada, controlada, na qual a professora não utiliza estratégias pedagógicas para que as crianças participem ativamente se posicionando sobre o seu processo de aprendizagem.
