The almost three decades of production in Brazilian Linguistic Historiography: an overview of national production

Resumo: This paper aims at presenting an initial mapping of the Brazilian production in Linguistic Historiography (from now on HL), in the almost three decades of implementation of the area. The objective of this work is to offer an overview of the state of the art of the subject, that is, it seeks to present what is known about HL based on researches that have already been carried out and materials that have been produced. For this, a mapping of production in HL was done, which contemplated only a few relevant points concerning Brazilian production, such as: the number of researchers, groups in HL, materials produced, specialty groups in HL by region of Brazil, in addition to the most discussed themes in academic works and the courses already taught in HL. The research has also had a corpus consisting of information taken from Lattes of researchers who, in a way, show interest in the development of research in the area or who are theoretical-methodologically linked to HL. The study will be based on the theoretical-methodological assumptions of HL (or the ones relevant to it), following analytical categories such as: specialty groups (MURRAY, 1994), internal and external dimensions (ALTMAN, 1998) and the relevance of research on time present (BÉDARIDA, 2006; RÉMOND, 2006; BASTOS E PALMA, 2008). The information obtained allows us to recognize HL as an authentic and legitimated subject by Brazilian universities and researchers, especially due to the number of cataloged materials that, in a way, prove the effort made by researchers to disseminate ideas, theory and methodology that are specific to the area

O objetivo deste trabalho é oferecer um panorama sobre o “estado da arte” da disciplina, isto é, busca-se apresentar o que se conhece sobre a HL a partir de pesquisas já realizadas e de materiais produzidos. Para tanto, foi feito um mapeamento da produção em HL, que contemplou apenas alguns pontos relevantes da produção brasileira, tais como: a quantidade de pesquisadores, de grupos em HL, de materiais já produzidos, de grupos de especialidade em HL por região do Brasil, além das temáticas mais abordadas em trabalhos acadêmicos e das disciplinas já ministradas em HL. A pesquisa contou, ainda, com um corpus constituído por informações retiradas do Lattes de pesquisadores que, de certo modo, evidenciam interesse pelo desenvolvimento de pesquisas na área ou que se autovinculam teórico-metodologicamente com a HL. O estudo será baseado nos pressupostos teórico-metodológicos da HL (ou caros a ela), seguindo categorias analíticas, como: grupos de especialidade (MURRAY, 1994), dimensão interna e externa (ALTMAN, 1998) e a relevância de pesquisas sobre o tempo presente (BÉDARIDA, 2006; RÉMOND, 2006; BASTOS E PALMA, 2008).
