Resumo: It’s a qualitative study developed from the understanding that education on health is one of the pillars of theCommunity Health Agents-CHA work. The objective of this research was to understand the conception of this theme byCHA. The sample was non-probabilistic by saturation. Data was analyzed through the Coletive subject discourse technique.Three central ideas were unveiled from the CHA speeches regarding health education: educate by example, to presentlectures and guidance, and that is something hard to do. It was concluded that the CHA knowledge about health educationis based on the traditional conception of education.

El objetivo de la investigación fue conocer la concepción de este temapor el ACS. La muestra fue no-probabilista por saturación. La técnica utilizada para el análisis de los datos fue el Discursodel Sujeto Colectivo-DSC. Después del análisis fueron encontradas tres ideas centrales en los discursos del ACS enrelación a la educación en salud. El pensamiento de que educar es dar el ejemplo, es dar conferencias y orientaciones y deque es algo difícil de hacer. Conclúyese que el conocimiento que los ACS tienen de educación en salud es pautado en laconcepción tradicional de la educación.Estudo qualitativo realizado a partir do entendimento de que a educação em Saúde é um dos pilares do trabalhodo Agente Comunitário de Saúde-ACS. O objetivo da pesquisa foi conhecer a concepção deste tema por ACS. A amostrafoi não-probabilística por saturação. A técnica utilizada para análise dos dados foi o Discurso do Sujeito Coletivo. Após aanálise foram encontradas três ideias centrais nos discursos do ACS em relação à educação em saúde. O pensamento deque educar é dar o exemplo, é dar palestras e orientações e a de que é algo difícil de fazer.
