Resumo: Research has been a strong ally to the improvement of health care quality by providing reflection concerningdifferent practices. The objective of this text is to demonstrate the importance of the participation of academics in research,providing both by living with the resulting questions of professional relationships and the aspects related to the executionof an investigative project. In order to do so, the capacitation of interviewers, the challenges of data collection, and thebenefits earned by the experience of being an academic/researcher are detailed. This report shows that the theoreticalpracticalexperiences achieved during the undergraduate curriculum create a differential of knowledge for academics andprofessors, if complemented with research experiences.

Este texto tiene el propósito de demostrar la importancia de la participación de académicos eninvestigación, al proporcionar tanto la convivencia con las cuestiones provenientes de las relaciones profesionales comocon aspectos relacionados a la ejecución de un proyecto de investigación. Para esto, son detalladas la capacitación de losentrevistadores, los desafíos de una colecta de datos y los aportes traídos por la experiencia de ser un académico/entrevistador. Este relato muestra que las experiencias teórico- prácticas ofrecidas por el currículo de la graduaciónalcanzan un diferencial de conocimiento a académicos y profesores si complementadas con experiencias e investigación.A pesquisa tem sido uma forte aliada na qualificação da assistência à saúde ao proporcionar a reflexão sobre aprática realizada. Este texto tem como propósito demonstrar a importância da participação de acadêmicos em pesquisa, aoproporcionar tanto a convivência com as questões advindas das relações profissionais quanto com aspectos relacionadosa execução de um projeto de investigação. Para tanto, são detalhadas a capacitação dos entrevistadores, os desafios deuma coleta de dados e os ganhos trazidos pela experiência de ser um acadêmico/entrevistador.
