Abstract Real Time positioning techniques rely on the fact that errors in the reference station are, inits great majority, the same ones ound in the rover station. However, while the distance between stations is increased, the erros which were similar before become more and more uncorrelationed. Because of this process, there is a progressive degeneration in position fix. This type of degeneration is commonly known in literature as spatial correlation. The main objective of this work is fundamented in studying the spatial correlation for DGPS and RTK techniques. Aiming to accomplish this objective twelve teste stations have been chosen, with baseline lenghts varying from 0,2 to 29 Km. It was not possible, using results obtained in this research, to determine the spatial correlation value for DGPS and RTK techniques. However, it has been found that for these baselines, DGPS made horizontal errors smaller than 1,8 m possible, while errors using the RTK technique were smaller than 6 cm. Regarding altimetric errors, it has been verified that those were smaller than 4 m using DGPS tecnique, and smaller than 15 cm using RTK tecnique. |
