Foram coletadas 13 amostras, mensalmente, no período de maio de 1982 a maio de 1983, provenientes de uma estação de coleta. Foram identificados 135 taxons, classificados em 9 famílias e 26 gêneros, compreendendo 108 espécies, 36 variedades e 7 formas taxonômicas, ambas não típicas das respectivas espécies, além de 3 taxons não determinados a nível infra-genérico. Dos 135 taxons analisados, 22 constituem-se em citações pioneiras para o Paraná. Cada táxon fez-se acompanhar de referência à obra original, basônimo (quando existente), principais obras utilizadas na identificação, descrição morfológica, medidas, registros para o Estado do Paraná e relação de ocorrência nas amostras. Comentários referentes à identificação e nomenclatura foram efetuados. Chave artificial foi providenciada para determinação dos gêneros, espécies, variedades e formas taxonômicas inventariadas. Complementam o trabalho mapas localizando o lago e a estação de coleta estudados, assim como duas tabelas, uma registrando a distribuição qualitativa mensal dos taxons analisados e outra os dados sobre amostragem. Dezessete planchas ilustram a pesquisa e um glossário esclarece-a terminologia técno-científica utilizada.Abstract: The present investigation consists of a contribution to the taxonomic study of diatoms found in the nautical - sector of the Iguaçu Regional Park, which is situated in Curitiba, State of Paraná, Brazil. Thirteen samples were collected monthly, from May 1982 to May 1983. 135 taxa were identified and classified into 9 families, 26 genera, 108 species, 36 varieties, which are not the typical for their respective species, and 7 taxonomic formae wich are also not typical, besides 3 taxa whose infrageneric level was not established. 22 out of these taxa are first described in the State of Paraná. Each taxon is qualified by references to the original description or illustration, basionym (when it exists), the main works used in its identification, morphological description, citations in the State of Paraná, and a report concerning the occurence of the sample. Comments referring to the identification and nomenclature of each isolate are presented. Artificial key was elaborated for determination of the genera, species, varieties and taxonomic formae registered. Included are maps containing the location of the lake and the exact site where samples were collected, as well as 2 Tables, one of them showing the qualitative monthly distribution of the analyzed taxa and the other data on sampling.
