Defesa: Curitiba, 27/11/209Bibliografia: fls. 247-255Resumo: O romance histórico de origem romântica é divulgador e confirmador do ideal nacionalista que se espalha pelo ocidente. No período romântico, o discurso de nação assume posição privilegiada no campo da narrativa ficcional e isto se dá pela apropriação do discurso da história. As análises empreendidas neste trabalho de pesquisa mostrarão que, para os escritores modernistas de 1922, o passado – o discurso de nação romântico, principalmente – é algo que precisa ser ul rapassado ou sobreposto por um novo discurso, enquanto que para os pósmodernistas – considerados a partir de 1980 – o presente só pode ser avaliado ou pensado, a partir de fragmentos do passado. A subversão do texto antigo se dá mais no sentido de propor sua reflexão e relativização, quando o transcontextualiza, do que no sentido de sua desautorização. A intertextualidade, nos parece, é procedimento recorrente nos três períodos citados, porém transforma-se para responder a expectativas e ideologias diversas. De acordo com o que vemos em grande parte da produção de ficção histórica pós-moderna, repensar o discurso histórico a partir de proposições críticas feitas através, principalmente, da citação, da paródia e da ironia a distancia dos romances históricos românticos e isto será demonstrado pelo posicionamento dos autores, implícito ou real, diante do material histórico. Os romances de Ana Miranda, focalizados nesta tese, vêm reafirmar que todo romance histórico revela o posicionamento do autor sobre o conceito de história e, mais do que isso, revela também o grau de intimidade deste autor com os elementos ficcionais. Os recursos ficcionais utilizados nos romances respondem bem tanto ao caráter inventivo quanto ao histórico. Há, na revisitação da memória e do momento literário de cada poeta, uma busca por refigurar e refletir sobre discursos de nação, ou a ausência deles, do passado. No romance Boca do inferno, Gregório de Matos, no século XVII, revolta-se com as atitudes subservientes do Brasil em relação a Portugal, vivendo uma relação de amor e ódio com as duas pátrias, mas é um sabiá em liberdade. Enquanto que em Dias e dias, Gonçalves Dias, no século XIX, luta pela afirmação da identidade brasileira diante da pátria-mãe. Para isso, é preciso superar a perda do paternalismo colonial e suportar as limitações da gaiola nacionalista. De outro modo, em A última quimera, as reflexões sobre o canônico revelam uma crítica ao sistema histórico-literário brasileiro. Em franco reconhecimento da autonomia da literatura e da comunidade nacional brasileiras que discute, internamente, seu processo de formação.Abstract: The romantic historical novel publishes and confirms the nationalistic ideal that spreads trough the occident. During the romantic period the nation got a privileged position in the fictional narrative field and it occurs through the appropriation of the historical discourse. The analyses done in this essay will show that, to the modernists of 1922, the past – specially in the romantic nation discourse – is something that needs to be exceeded or replaced by a new one discourse, while for the post-modernists – considered from 1980 – the present can only be evaluated by thinking or considering fragments of the past. The subversion of the old texts occur more by a sense of proposal reflection and relativization of them, when they’re transcontextualized, then by they desauthorization. The intertextuality is a recurrent procedure in all three quoted periods, however it changes to respond diverse expectations and ideologies. Accordi g what can be seen in a large number of post-modern historical fiction ork, rethinking the historical discourse by the critical propositions done mainly using the quotation, the parody and the irony keep them away from the romantic historical novels and it can be demonstrated by the authors positioning, implicit or real, in front of the historic material. Ana Miranda’s novels, studied in the present thesis, come to reaffirm that every historical novel reveals the author’s positioning about the concept of history and, more than that, reveals either the intimacy degree of this author with the fictional elements. The fictional resources used in novels respond well to the inventive and historical character. In the revisitation of the memory and the literary moment of each poet, there is a search by the refigure end reflect about the nation’s discourses, or by the absence of them, of past. In the novel Boca do Inferno, Gregorio de Matos, in the XVIIth century, rebelled against the subservient Brazilian attitudes in relation to Portugal, living a relationship of love and hate with the two homelands, but he’s a free sabiá. While in the novel Dias e dias, Gonçalves Dias, in XIXth century, fights for the affirmation of a Brazilian identity in face of motherland. For that it’s necessary to overcome the lost of colonial paternalism and support the limitations of the nationalistic bird cage. In other hand, in A última quimera the reflections about the canonic revel a criticism about the Brazilian historic-literary syst m. In a great recognition of the autonomy of the literature and the Brazilians national community which argues its own formation process internally.255f. : il.
