Defesa: Curitiba, 29/08/2008Inclui referências: p. 99-102Resumo: Este estudo aborda o ensino profissional segundo o olhar dos alunos do Serviço Nacional de Aprendizagem Industrial (SENAI), considerada especialmente a sede de Curitiba, Estado do Paraná. Explora-se uma problemática voltada à concepção de educação profissional defendida na instituição durante o final da década de 1940 e início da década de 1960 e, deste modo, propõe-se realizar uma análise histórica baseada nos princípios, valores e cultura institucionais. Para tanto, buscou-se analisar o discurso dos jovens aprendizes do SENAI-PR: como aqueles alunos encaravam esta instituição? Como percebiam sua aprendizagem? Quais foram as suas impressões sobre a filosofia de aprendizagem utilizada e/ou defendida pela instituição? Para analisar essas questões, lançou-se mão, inicialmente, do trabalho realizado por Roger Chartier - sobretudo no que diz respeito às categorizações sugeridas por este autor no tratamento das práticas e representações. Com efeito, as categorias de análise - quais sejam: disciplina, racionalização no ensino/aprendizagem e a cultura institucional - imprimiram maior inteligibilidade no tratamento do objeto de estudo. Outrossim, o olhar dos alunos do SENAI-PR foi analisado a partir de uma publicação periódica - o boletim O Escudo, disponível no Centro de Memória do Sistema FIEP - que constituiu a principal fonte utilizada nesta pesquisa, optando-se por analisar as edições publicadas nos seus primeiros 13 anos - entre 1949 a 1962. O Escudo era uma publicação semestral preparada pelos alunos, constituindo uma fonte de informação significativa quanto às opiniões discentes. Enfim, a análise deste periódico, enquanto uma fonte histórica sugere que se lancem outros olhares sobre o processo de formação para o trabalho no Paraná, bem como revela os novos caminhos trilhados pelo ensino profissional no estado, indicando elementos detalhados da educação profissional emanada pelo SENAI no período estudado.Abstract: This study approaches professional education according to the look of the students of the National Service of Industrial Apprenticeship (SENAI), considered especially the headquarters of Curitiba, Paraná. It explores a problematic turned to the conception of professional education defended in the institution during the end of the decade of 1940 and beginning of the decade of 1960 and, in this way, make a historical analysis based on ethical principles, values and culture. For in such a way, it searched to analyze the speech of the young apprentices of the SENAI-PR: how those students faced this institution? How they perceived their learning? Which had been their impressions on the philosophy of learning used and/or defended by the institution? To analyze these questions, first I started with Roger Chartier work - especially about the categorizations suggested by this author on the treatment of practices and representations. With effect, the categories of analysis - which are: discipline, rationalization in education/learning and the institutional culture - expressed greater intelligibility in the treatment of the study object. Also the look of the students of the SENAI-PR was analyzed from a periodic publication - the bulletin O Escudo , available in the Center of Memory of System FIEP - that constituted the main source used in this research, opting to analyzing editions published in its first 13 years - the 1962 through 1949. O E scudo was a half-yearly publication prepared by the students of SENAI, as a source of significant information about their opinions.
