Defesa: Curitiba, 11/07/2017Inclui referências : f. 122-129Resumo: Experiências corporais durante a amamentação, quando associadas às representações sobre o corpo "mãe-mulher" e "mulher-mãe", estão centradas na (re) construção da identidade, no desempenho dos papeis sociais assumidos, nas tensões, sentimentos e conflitos os quais permeiam a vida privada, íntima e social da mulher. Neste sentido, a amamentação é um fenômeno plural e quando compreendida apenas como um processo biológico e funcional , em relação ao sexo feminino, suas experiências tendem ser percebidas como um cumprimento do dever materno. Associações entre corpo e identidade fundam o gênero e os papéis mulher e mãe e podem interferir na amamentação. O estudo objetiva descrever o conteúdo das experiências corporais durante o aleitamento materno e as representações sobre o corpo: "mãe-mulher" ou "mulher-mãe", bem como, compreender a partir do viés de gênero como ocorre a (re) construção da identidade. Trata-se de uma pesquisa qualitativa, realizada em uma Unidade de Saúde da Família, no Município da região metropolitana de Curitiba, PR, com mulheres que estavam amamentando. Foram realizados dois tipos de entrevistas: individuais (n=09 mulheres) e um grupo focal (n=04 mulheres), utilizando-se o mesmo roteiro de entrevistas, denominadas narrativas. As entrevistas ocorreram entre os meses de julho e agosto de 2016. Para a sistematização das falas das mulheres foi utilizada a Análise de Conteúdo, por análise temática. Verificou-se que o sucesso da amamentação fortalece o papel social de ser mãe, em que amamentar é percebido como um ato de amor, doação, abdicação, responsabilidade, comprometimento e zelo. Amamentar assegura um status de "supermãe" e cumprimento de um "dever sagrado", e tal subjetividade é construída por um desejo social. O corpo da mulher que amamenta é marcado por um dilema de papéis e influenciado por normas sociais e pela objetificação. A maternidade e o cumprimento do dever sagrado se interligam, em que o sagrado permanece isolado do contato, pois o corpo materno passa a ser interditado e protegido do profano. Neste contexto, é fácil compreender a razão da dramatização social quando mulheres amamentam em público, uma vez que o corpo materno não pode ser identificado ao corpo sexualizado, tampouco misturado ou integrado em espaços sociais considerados profanos. Conclui-se que amamentar é um fenômeno social multifacetado e complexo que envolve tensões, conflitos e emoções. Destacaram-se alguns pontos: primeiro que ao se tornar mãe, a mulher experimenta uma ruptura em relação à sua sexualidade; há perda de autonomia corporal, e finalmente que sua escolha pessoal e a forma como será desempenhado o papel de mãe (amamentar ou não) pode não coincidir com as expectativas sociais. Palavras chaves: experiência da amamentação; gênero, corpo; papéis sociais.Abstract: Corporal experiences during breastfeeding, when associated with representations about the "mother-woman" and "woman-mother" body, are centered in the (re) construction of the identity, the performance of the assumed social roles, the tensions, feelings and conflicts which permeate the private, intimate and social life of women. In this sense, breastfeeding is a plural phenomenon and when understood only as a biological and functional process, to women, their experiences are perceived as the fulfillment of maternal duty. Associations between body and identity stablish the gender and the woman and mother roles and may interfere with breastfeeding. The study aims to describe the content of corporal experiences during breastfeeding and the representations about the body: "woman-mother" or "mother-woman", as well as to understand from the gender bias on how the (re) construction of the identity happen. This is a qualitative research carried out in a Family Health Unit in a city in the metropolitan region of Curitiba, PR, with women who were breastfeeding. Two types of interviews were conducted: individually (n = 09 women) and a focus group (n = 04 women), the same interview scripts, called narratives, were used. The interviews took place between the months of July and August of 2016. For the systematization of the women's speech the Analysis of Content, with thematic analysis was used. It was verified that successful breastfeeding strengthens the social role of being a mother, in which breastfeeding is perceived as an act of love, giving, abdication, responsibility, commitment and zeal. Breastfeeding assures a status of "supermom" and the fulfillment of a "sacred duty", such subjectivity is built by a social desire. The body of the breastfeeding woman is marked by a dilemma of roles and is influenced by social rules and its objectification. The motherhood and the fulfillment of sacred duty are interconnect, in which the sacred remains isolated from contact, for the maternal body is now interdicted and protected from the profane. In this context, it is easy to comprehend the reason of the social drama when women breastfeed in public, since the maternal body cannot be identified with the sexualized body, nor mixed or integrated into social spaces considered profane. Breastfeeding is a multifaceted and complex social phenomenon involving tensions, conflicts and emotions. Some points were highlighted: first, when becoming a mother, the woman experiences a rupture with her sexuality; there is loss of bodily autonomy, and finally her personal choice and how she will play the role of mother (breastfeed or not) may not concur with the social expectations.
