Defesa : Curitiba, 10/02/2021Inclui referências: p. 118-122Resumo: Este trabalho tem por objetivo investigar as reflexões críticas sobre a linguagem realizadas por Friedrich Nietzsche no seu primeiro período de produção filosófica. Para isso, são feitas as análises de Da origem da linguagem (1869-70), texto introdutório a um curso ofertado por Nietzsche e um dos primeiros em que se dedica ao tratamento filosófico da linguagem, assim como de Sobre verdade e mentira no sentido extramoral (1873), ensaio póstumo composto no mesmo período de suas Considerações extemporâneas. Por meio da análise textual e do estudo das fontes desses textos, pretende-se mostrar que sua crítica da linguagem empreende a avaliação da capacidade do discurso filosófico em ser verdadeiro, isto é, em estabelecer uma verdade necessária e universal acerca das coisas. No texto de 1869 o filósofo demonstra sua desconfiança a esse respeito, ao formular uma hipótese acerca do desenvolvimento da linguagem que a considera como o produto do instinto, isto é, como resultado de um princípio vital inconsciente. Nietzsche defende, ainda, que tanto o pensamento comum quanto o filosófico são condicionados por uma estrutura gramatical inconsciente da linguagem. Porém, o filósofo não pretende reduzir tal estrutura a uma forma única e universal do pensamento, mas salientar como o instinto linguístico produz diferentes formas de pensamento representadas na diferença histórico-cultural dos povos e das línguas. A hipótese acerca da falta de universalidade e na arbitrariedade do significado linguístico é apenas insinuada e sugerida em 1869, passando a ser afirmada categoricamente no texto de 1873. Nesse texto Nietzsche muda sua perspectiva de abordagem, pois não postula mais uma estrutura linguística da consciência, mas entende a linguagem como imitação da realidade, fazendo então uma análise da percepção. Esta é definida como o constante movimento de um turbilhão de imagens, sendo contrastada com a linguagem, que é entendida, por sua vez, como a fixação daquelas imagens em conceitos abstratos. Com isso, Nietzsche define a linguagem segundo um paradigma retórico, pois o processo de imitação da realidade pelo homem ocorreria com a ajuda de operações semelhantes às da metáfora, da sinédoque e da metonímia. Nietzsche pretende, assim, apontar para o caráter simplificador, generalizador e impróprio da linguagem, o que levaria a uma falta de correspondência entre as designações e as intuições de origem, que são sempre únicas, singulares e plurais ao mesmo tempo, pois estão em constante movimento. Já as designações da linguagem conceituai procuram sempre expressar uma universalidade e necessidade que não são encontradas nessas intuições. Assim, é proposto aqui que Nietzsche defende a possibilidade de uma experiência mais original que é encontrada somente na imediatez da intuição, ao passo que a linguagem conceituai consegue traduzir muito parcialmente essa experiência.Abstract: This work aims to investigate the critical reflections on language made by Friedrich Nietzsche in his first period of philosophical production. To this end, analyzes are made of On the origin o f language (1869-70), an introductory text to a course offered by Nietzsche and one of the first in which he dedicates to the philosophical treatment of language, as well as On truth and lies in an extramoral sense (1873), posthumous essay composed in the same period as his Untimely Meditations. Through textual analysis and the study of the sources of these texts, it is intended to show that his criticism of language undertakes the evaluation of the capacity of the philosophical discourse to be true, that is, to establish a necessary and universal truth about things. In the 1869 text, the philosopher demonstrates his distrust in this regard, by formulating a hypothesis concerning the development of language that considers it as the product of instinct, that is, as a result of an unconscious vital principle. Nietzsche also argues that both common and philosophical thinking are conditioned by an unconscious grammatical structure of language. However, the philosopher does not intend to reduce such a structure to an unique and universal form of thought, but to emphasize how the linguistic instinct produces different forms of thought represented in the historical-cultural difference of peoples and languages. The hypothesis about the lack of universality and the arbitrariness of linguistic meaning is only hinted at and suggested in 1869, being categorically stated in the text of 1873. In this text Nietzsche changes his perspective of approach, as he no longer postulates a linguistic structure of consciousness, but understands language as an imitation of reality, thus making an analysis of perception. This latter is defined as the constant movement of a whirlwind of images, being contrasted with language, which is understood, in turn, as the fixation of those images in abstract concepts. With this, Nietzsche defines language according to a rhetorical paradigm, because the process of imitation of reality by man would occur with the help of operations similar to those of metaphor, synecdoche and metonymy. Thus, Nietzsche intends to point to the simplifying, generalizing and inappropriate character of language, which would lead to a lack of correspondence between designations and intuitions of origin, which are always unique, singular and plural at the same time, as they are constantly in movement. The conceptual language designations, on the other hand, always seek to express a universality and necessity that are not found in these intuitions.
