Defesa : Curitiba, 28/02/2019Inclui referências: p.116-120Resumo: Esta dissertação é fruto da percepção de que haveria no estado do Paraná, mais especificamente na cidade de Curitiba, um rico discurso médico que pudesse abarcar um importante período da história das doenças e contribuir com a historiografia voltada para esse assunto. Nesse sentido, o nosso objeto de pesquisa se constituiu, sendo o discurso, proferido nas esferas médicas, sobre a profilaxia e tratamento da tuberculose e dos corpos tuberculosos, na cidade de Curitiba, entre os anos de 1930 e 1953. Tal objeto fomentou algumas indagações de pesquisa: como esses discursos dialogam entre seus pares? Como circulam? Quais são as abordagens pertinentes que podem ser delineadas? Qual a sua relação com a Curitiba do século XX e os projetos modernizadores da capital? A fim de responder essas perguntas, nosso principal objetivo é dialogar com esses discursos se apoiando nos mais variados referenciais teóricos e literatura prévia sobre o tema, como Esposito (2006), Foucault (2008), Latour (2000), Lima e Hochman (1996), Lima, Kropf, Ponte (2002), Vainfas (1999), entre outros autores assim que se fizer necessário, refletindo sobre a Curitiba da época, os grupos médicos que se formaram aqui, as instituições e a sua importância para a formação de uma classe trabalhadora livre de epidemias, como é o caso da tuberculose. Curitiba.Abstract: This thesis is the result of the perception that there would be in the state of Paraná, more specifically in the city of Curitiba, a rich medical discourse that could cover an important period in the history of diseases and contribute to the historiography. In this sense, our research object was constituted, being the discourse, pronounced in the medical spheres, on the prophylaxis and treatment of tuberculosis and tuberculous bodies, in the city of Curitiba, between the years of 1930 and 1953. This object fomented some inquiries: How do these discourses interact with each other? How do they circulate? What are the relevant approaches that can be outlined? What is its relationship with the Curitiba of the twentieth century and the modernizing projects of the capital? In order to answer these questions, our main objective is to dialogue with these discourses, relying on the most varied theoretical references and previous literature on the subject, such as Esposito (2006), Foucault (2008), Latour (2000), Lima and Hochman (1996), Lima, Kropf, Ponte (2002), Vainfas (1999), among other authors as soon as necessary, reflecting on Curitiba of the time, the medical groups that were formed here, the institutions and their importance for the formation of a working class free of epidemics, as is the case of tuberculosis.
