Defesa: Curitiba, 30/09/2013Bibliografia: f. 373-413Resumo: A presente tese busca compreender como o romance de Marcel Proust (1871- 1922) intitulado A la recherche du temps perdu ofereceu ao público francês uma representação da história contemporânea que foi não apenas aceita, mas interpretada como imagem privilegiada e legítima da cultura e sociedade francesas entre as décadas de 1870-1920. O corpus documental diz respeito principalmente a já citada produção literária de Proust e à ampla documentação de crítica e história literária que, junto com os comentários mais gerais, compõem a exegese proustiana. A baliza desta documentação referente à recepção da Recherche foi definida como 1913 até 1928. A data de 1913 se explica pelo lançamento então do primeiro livro, Du Côté de chez Swann, que inaugurou a publicação do ciclo romanesco. Embora Proust tenha falecido no final de 1922, os livros finais que encerravam o romance foram publicados postumamente, sendo finalizado em 1927 com o lançamento de Le Temps Retrouvé. Mesmo sendo este o período enfocado com maior atenção, a presente tese toca outras temporalidades e historicidades relacionadas à conjuntura fin-de-siècle e belle époque parisiense, e está estruturada em três partes. A primeira analisa o que poderíamos chamar de condições de possibilidade, ou seja, está preocupada assim com os "ondes" e "quandos" relacionados às principais questões desta tese. A segunda parte está mais centrada na análise do romance proustiano, e desta forma levanta questionamentos relacionados aos "comos", ou seja, nela são analisados os meios empregados por Proust para construir sua representação da história contemporânea através da Recherche. Por fim, a última parte continua a enquete dos "comos", porém inverte a posição de observação tratando disto através da perspectiva da recepção, ou seja, da dimensão que de fato corroborou a interpretação e aceitação da obra proustiana como historicamente verossímil. Porém, esta terceira parte se preocupa também com os "porquês", visto que busca compreender as implicações destes juízos e interpretações que defenderam e negaram a Recherche como nova Comédia Humana francesa.Abstract: This thesis seeks to understand how the novel by Marcel Proust (1871-1922) titled A la recherche du temps perdu offered to the French public a representation of contemporary history that was not only accepted but seen as legitimate and privileged image of French culture and society between the decades of 1870 to 1920. The documental sources concerns mainly the aforementioned literary production of Proust and the extensive documentation of criticism and literary history that, along with more general comments, compose the Proustian exegesis. The dating of this documentation of the receipt of the Recherche was defined as 1913 to 1928. The date 1913 is explained by the release of the first book, Du Côté de chez Swann, who inaugurated the publication of the proustian cycle. Although Proust has died at the end of 1922, the final books that closed the novel were published posthumously, being finished in 1927 with the publication of Le Temps retrouvé. This thesis touches other temporality and historicity related to this conjuncture Parisian fin-de- siècle and belle époque, and this structure divided into three parts. The first looks at what we might call the conditions of possibility, in other words, the so preoccupied with the "wheres" and " whens" related to the main issues of this thesis. The second part of this is more focused with the analysis of the Proustian novel, of the "hows", meaning it analyzes the means employed by Proust to build its representation of contemporary history through the Recherche. Finally, the last part continues to poll the "hows", but inverts the position of observation treating it through the perspective of reception, in other words, the size that actually corroborated the interpretation and acceptance of the work Proustian as historically believable.
