Resumo: This work aims to evaluate the influence of shading and depth seeding on seedling emergence, growth and standard of quality seedlings of paricá (Huber ex Ducke Schizolobium amazonicum), a species native to the Amazon economic value. The study was conducted in the nursery of the Institute of Agricultural Sciences, Federal Rural University of Amazon in Belém, Pará (10 28'0 "S, 480 27'0" W). The experiment followed a design statistician in randomized block split plot with four replications, and plots were recorded by shading levels obtained with shading screen (30%, 50% and 70%) and full sun, and subplots by sowing depths (1.0 cm 2.0 cm). The seeds were sown directly into previously filled with black soil (humus) plastic bags. The results showed that seedling emergence of paricá was not influenced by levels of shading, either by sowing depths tested. Based on performance for diameter growth and dry matter production, it is concluded that the formation of packed paricá seedlings in nursery conditions, requires an intermediate shading of 30%, since in these conditions the seedlings had higher roughness and higher standard quality.

Based on performance for diameter growth and dry matter production, it is concluded that the formation of packed paricá seedlings in nursery conditions, requires an intermediate shading of 30%, since in these conditions the seedlings had higher roughness and higher standard quality. Universidade Federal Rural da Amazônia/UFRA2011-03-11info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://ajaes.ufra.edu.br/index.php/ajaes/article/view/126Amazonian Journal of Agricultural Sciences Journal of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences; Vol 52 No 1 (2009): RCA; 87-98Revista de Ciências Agrárias Amazonian Journal of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences; v. 52 n. 1 (2009): RCA; 87-982177-87601517-591Xreponame:Revista de Ciências Agrárias (Belém.
