Resumo: Due to the pace of the timber logging in Pará, often privileging economic factors over social and ecological, is causing, long time, damage to the environment, to be held often without proper planning. However, companies have to address this activity considering the best use of forest resources, but considering the design as well as social and ecological together with economic aspects. The objective of this study is to evaluate the operating system logging and productivity, used in a logging company in the state of Para, with an area of approximately 2.121ha, and implements the so-called reduced-impact logging. As a conclusion, it was possible to find probable bottlenecks in the system analyzed, such as: (a) evaluate the activity of forest inventory, working with four botanical identifiers per team (b) better observe the logistics when related to the transfer of field data to office to improve the productivity of data analysis and generation of maps; rearrange the number of people involved in the activity of pre-drag, reducing the amount of chainsaw per team, which may directly influence the cost and productivity of operations.

Universidade Federal Rural da Amazônia/UFRA2011-05-09info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://ajaes.ufra.edu.br/index.php/ajaes/article/view/194Amazonian Journal of Agricultural Sciences Journal of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences; Vol 47 No 1 (2007): RCA; 59 - 70Revista de Ciências Agrárias Amazonian Journal of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences; v. 47 n. 1 (2007): RCA; 59 - 702177-87601517-591Xreponame:Revista de Ciências Agrárias (Belém.
