Hegel and the sense-certainty

Resumo: | The purpose of this article is to follow a precise period of the trajectory of the experience of consciousness in Hegelian philosophy. It was chosen the subsection “sense-certainty or this or the aiming” of the Phenomenology of Spirit as standpoint. In a first moment, the aspects that Hegel calls “natural conscience”, based on his “immediate knowledge” are underscored. Since such perspective, it is analyzed the cognitive-instrumental relationship between consciousness and the object of consciousness, notably when the object is considered essential, namely, as "This". In as much as it is targeted, the “This” reveals itself as an “This-here-now” as something that carries itself its negation, that is, the “this" has the role of a mediation process anchored in the universality contained in the particularity. This notion of universal imposes on the “immediate conscience” a set of premises that it could not accept under the risk of being mischaracterized. The main aspect amid them concerns the impossibility of saying what its object is and, therefore, aspiring to constitute itself as knowledge. Finally, it is highlighted that the failure of this first form of knowledge that calls itself a “certainty” exposes the pedagogical character of the dialectical procedure developed in the Phenomenology of the Spirit: the consciousness improves itself with its own illusions, losing itself under the immanence of its experiences, its failures and the process of overcoming, upon on the act of experiencing. |

En un primer momento, intentaremos exponer lo que Hegel llama "conciencia natural", a partir de su llamado "conocimiento inmediato". Con esto, analizaremos la relación cognitivo-instrumental tejida entre la conciencia y el objeto de la conciencia, especialmente cuando el objeto se considera esencial, es decir, como “Esto”. Al ser apuntado, el “Esto” se revela como un “Esto-aquí-ahora”, como algo que lleva consigo su negación, es decir, como un proceso de mediación anclado en la universalidad contenida en la particularidad. Esta noción de universal impone a la “conciencia inmediata” una serie de premisas que no podría aceptar bajo el riesgo de ser mal caracterizada. La principal se refiere a la imposibilidad de decir su objeto y, por tanto, de aspirar a constituirse en conocimiento. Finalmente, destacamos que el no instruir esta primera forma de conocimiento que se autodenomina una “certeza” expone el carácter pedagógico del procedimiento dialéctico desarrollado en la Fenomenología del Espíritu: el de la conciencia que se perfecciona con las ilusiones que pierde en la inmanencia de sus experiencias, de sus fracasos y superación, es decir, en el acto mismo de experimentar.Le but de cet article est de suivre une partie de la trajectoire de l'expérience de la conscience dans la philosophie hégélienne, en prenant comme point d'incision la sous-section « La Certitude sensible: le Ceci et ma visé du Ceci” de la Phénoménologie de l'Esprit. Dans un premier temps, nous tenterons d'exposer ce que Hegel appelle la «conscience naturelle», sur la base de sa soi-disant «connaissance immédiate». Avec cela, nous analyserons la relation cognitivo-instrumentale tissée entre la conscience et l'objet de la conscience, notamment lorsque l'objet est considéré comme essentiel, à savoir comme «Ceci». Lorsqu'il est ciblé, le «ceci» se révèle comme un «ceci-ici-maintenant», comme quelque chose qui porte avec lui sa négation, c'est-à-dire comme un processus de médiation ancré dans l'universalité contenue dans la particularité. Cette notion d'universel impose à la «conscience immédiate» une série de prémisses qu'elle ne saurait accepter sous peine d'être déformée. Le principal concerne à l'impossibilité de dire son objet et, par conséquent, d'aspirer à se constituer en savoir. Enfin, nous soulignons que l’échec instructif de cette première forme de connaissance qui se qualifie de «certitude» expose le caractère pédagogique de la procédure dialectique développée dans la Phénoménologie de l'Esprit: celle de la conscience qui se perfectionne avec les illusions qu'elle perd dans l'immanence de leurs expériences, leurs échecs et leurs dépassements, c'est-à-dire dans l'acte même de faire l’expérience.O objetivo deste artigo consiste em acompanhar parte da trajetória da experiência da consciência na filosofia hegeliana, tomando como ponto de incisão a subseção “Certeza-sensível ou o isto ou o visar” da Fenomenologia do Espírito. Num primeiro momento, trataremos de expor o que Hegel denomina “consciência natural”, tomando por base seu dito “saber imediato”. Com isso, analisaremos a relação cognitivo-instrumental tecida entre a consciência e o objeto da consciência, notadamente quando o objeto é posto como essencial, a saber, como o “Isto”. Ao ser visado, o “Isto” revela-se como um “Isto-aqui-agora”, como algo que traz em si sua negação, isto é, como um processo de mediação ancorada na universalidade contida na particularidade. Essa noção de universal impõe à “consciência imediata” uma série de premissas que esta não poderia aceitar sob o risco de se descaracterizar. A principal dentre elas diz respeito à impossibilidade de dizer seu objeto e, por conseguinte, de aspirar a constituir-se enquanto conhecimento.
