The so-called culture of authenticity generated three ailments still strongly present in contemporary society, they are: the primacy of instrumental reason, the exacerbated individualism and political atomism. We will present the emergence of such ailments and seek to understand why they became so strongly present in modern society, in this sense, our goal is to elucidate the influences of the authenticity culture in the contemporary period.
