Resumo: This paper is part of the ecstatic theory of love according to Duns Scotus, which is influenced by the doctrine of St. Anselm with respect to the two inclinations or affection of the will: the affectio commodi and the affectio iustitiae. The main objective is to show how Duns Scotus manages to overcome the apparent contradiction that fits between tender by nature God and choose to God from the reflection on the two emotions that make up the human will.
