Resumo: The narrative sub-genre known as novela corta, which corresponds, in Portuguese language literatures, to the novela simply, has a long tradition in Spanish-American literary production. Usually characterized by its extension, the novela corta resents, however, other markers. One of the issues pointed out by critics is its approach to other literary genres. The present study turns to a reading of the novela corta Moho (2010), by Paulette Jonguitud Acosta, defending a clear dialogue with the dramatic genre, in particular, with tragedy. Through the concept of “rostity” from Deleuze and Guattari, as well as Nietzsche’s reading of the tragedy, it is intended to understand the meanings built in Moho in conjunction with the dramatic genre.
