Knowledge and theoretical studies in psychiatric nursing and mental health

Resumo: The present article consists of a bibliographical research developed with 109 articles published in Brazilian journals classified by CAPES as ‘National B’ or superior. Of these articles, 33 focused on knowledge and theoretical studies in psychiatric nursing and mental health which were rearranged in the sub-themes: theoretical studies with historical focus (focus in the sheltering model and focus in the transformation of the attendance of psychiatric nursing), participation of the family in the patient’s process health-disease, the bearer’s of psychic suffering comprehension of him/herself, stigma, use of the results of the research in psychiatric nursing, rethinking of the teaching, research instruments and work in nursing.

De estós, 33 enfocan saberes y estudios teóricos en enfermeria psiquiátrica y salud mental, los cuales fueron agrupados en los temas: estudios teóricos com enfoque histórico ( foco en el modelo de albergue y foco en la transformación de la asistencia de enfermería psiquiátrica ), partipación de la família del processo salud-enfermidad del paciente, comprensión del hombre – individuo portador de sufrimiento psíquico, el estigma, el uso de los resultados de la investigación de enfermeria psiquiátrica, mudanza en la enseñanza, los instrumentos de investigación y el trabajo de enfermería.O presente artigo consiste numa pesquisa bibliográfica realizada a partir de 109 artigos publicados em periódicos brasileiros classificados pela CAPES como de circulação nacional B ou superior.
