Resumo: The objective of this paper is making some theoretical reflections about the significance of research and education to the construction of knowledge and their influence in the health-disease process. It is understood that the materialization of educative actions, to be developed by the graduated nurse, requires a scientific base, founded on research and interactive with the environment where the human being is inserted.

Se entiende que la concretización de las acciones educativas, a ser desenvueltas por el enfermero universitario, necesita de una base científica, cimentada en la investigación y con interacción con el ambiente, en el cual el ser humano se encuentra insertado.Este texto tem por objetivo tecer algumas reflexões teóricas acerca da importância da pesquisa e da educação na construção do conhecimento e sua influência no processo saúde-doença.
