Theme and problem: constituent elements of a research project

Resumo: This article approaches important aspects pointed by different authors and it makes us reflect about the construction of a research project. This reflection is relevant to definition of the theme and the problem for the elaboration of the research’s preliminary sketch to be developed in the graduate course. Nursing is characterized by a complex activity and its thinking/doing is loaded of possible inquietudes which can be researched, what makes difficult the theme and problem definition, for the plenty of situations lived in the daily of our activity, that could be subject of deepened studies and therefore bring answers to many inquietudes. Another difficulty that involves this decision is the fact that the inceptive reasearchers come across a peculiar moment in this definition. I believe that this problem concerns to researchers in general also.

I believe that this problem concerns to researchers in general also.El presente artículo aborda relevantes aspectos identificados por diferentes autores y al mismo tiempo nos invita a reflexionar sobre la construcción de un projecto de investigación. Esta reflexión es significativa en la definición del tema y problema para la elaboración del projeto de investigación a ser desarrollado en el curso de magister. La enfermería se caracteriza por ser una actividad compleja y el pensar/ hacer en enfermería es cargado de inquietud posible a ser investigado mostrándo incluso, dificil la definición de tema y problema, por la riqueza de situaciones vividas en el cotidiano de la actividad lo que podria ser motivo de estudios más profundos y por lo tanto de respuestas y muchas inquietudes. Creo que esta problemática interesa a los investigadores en general.Este artigo aborda aspectos relevantes apontados por diferentes autores e nos remete a reflexão na construção de um projeto de pesquisa. Esta reflexão é significativa na definição do tema e do problema para a elaboração do projeto de pesquisa a ser desenvolvido no curso de mestrado. A enfermagem caracteriza-se por ser uma atividade complexa e o pensar/fazer em enfermagem é carregado de inquietações possíveis de serem pesquisadas. Torna-se inclusive difícil a definição de tema e problema pela riqueza de situações vividas no cotidiano de nossa atividade, que poderia ser motivo de estudos aprofundados e portanto de respostas a muitas outras inquietações. Outra dificuldade que envolve esta decisão é o fato de que os pesquisadores iniciantes deparam-se com um momento peculiar nesta definição.
