THE CHARACTERIZATION OF THE RESEARCH GROUPS IN NURSING IN THE SOUTH REGION PART OF BRAZIL

Resumo: The study purpose is to describe how the Research Groups of Nursing Education (RGNE) are organized in the southern of Brazil. It’s a documental study, descriptive and explorative, of qualitative research, with the data collection from the CNPq Groups Directory website 2006 census. The south region presents 18 RGNE with 173 researchers, 148 have Master and Doctor Degree, 85 titles in the Education area, the most of them (97) work like professors and 164 nurses. There are 111 students, which 109 are from the nursing course. From this, 81 are graduating and 13 have the scientific initiation scholarship. There are 27 technicians, 22 are nursing graduated, 02 are professors, 07 are assistants, 09 work like both and 09 the curriculum wasn’t find. Therefore, there is a great need to invest in the interdisciplinary process and the teaching-working integration in the RGNE. The expressive participation of graduation students seems to favor the Nursing researcher formation.

The expressive participation of graduation students seems to favor the Nursing researcher formation.El objetivo del presente estudio es realizar la caracterización de los Grupos de Investigación de Educación en Enfermería (GPEE), para saber cómo se encuentran organizados en la región sur del Brasil. Se trata de una investigación documental, de carácter descriptivo exploratório, de naturaleza cualitativa, cuyos datos fueron recolectados en el site del Directorio de Grupos del CNPq, según el censo de 2006. La región sur tiene 18 GPEE, con un total de 173 investigadores, 148 tienen Maestría y Doctorado, 85 de ellos poseen titulación en el área de Educación, la gran mayoría (97) son docentes y 164 son enfermeros. También aparecen registrados 111 estudiantes, siendo 109 de enfermería, 81 son graduados y 13 tienen beca de Iniciación Científica. Además, hay 27 técnicos, 22 graduados en Enfermería; 02 son profesores, 07 enfermeros asistenciales, 09 desempeñan ambas labores y 09 no aparece registro de su función. Ante esos resultados, se hace necesario invertir en el proceso interdisciplinario y en la integración de la enseñanza-servicio en los GPEE. La significativa participación de los alumnos de pregrado favorece el desarrollo de la formación del perfil del investigador en Enfermería.O estudo objetiva caracterizar como os Grupos de Pesquisa de Educação em Enfermagem (GPEE) organizam-se na Região Sul do Brasil. Trata-se de uma pesquisa documental, descritiva-exploratória, de natureza qualitativa, com captação dos dados no site do Diretório de Grupos do CNPq no censo-2006. A Região Sul apresenta 18 GPEE com 173 pesquisadores, 148 possuem Mestrado e Doutorado, 85 titulações na área da Educação, a maioria (97) atua na docência e 164 são enfermeiros. São 111 estudantes, sendo 109 de Enfermagem. Destes, 81 são graduandos e 13 possuem bolsa de Iniciação Científica. São 27 técnicos, 22 formados em Enfermagem sendo 02 docentes, 07 assistenciais, 09 atuam em ambas as atividades e 09 não foram encontrados currículo. Verificou-se a necessidade de se investir no processo de interdisciplinaridade e de integração ensino-serviço nos GPEE.
