HIV/AIDS children living in shelters under the perspective of humanistic nursing.

Resumo: This article views the life of HIV/AIDS children in shelters under the perspective of the Humanistic Nursing Theory. This is a qualitative study with an existential-phenomenological-humanistic approach based on the Nursology of Paterson and Zderad. The scenario was a shelter for HIV/AIDS children located in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. Information was collected using phenomenological interview carried out with three children with AIDS. This article presents part of the interpretation of the obtained information centered in two meaning units. The results provided an understanding of the child´s play as way of feeling better in the environment of the shelter because the child perceives himself/herself as part of that environment with others. It also gives visibility to children with HIV/AIDS in shelters, and highlights the importance of including this theme in undergraduate courses, training health professionals in humanistic care, and managers to develop specific public policies for this population.

Se trata de una investigación cualitativa, con abordaje existencial-fenomenológico-humanístico, en la Nursology de Paterson y Zderad. El escenario fue una Casa de Apoyo a niños con VIH/SIDA, en Rio Grande do Sul, Brasil. Participaron tres niños con SIDA y se tomaron las informaciones a través de una entrevista fenomenológica. Se presenta un recorte de las interpretaciones de las informaciones producidas por la investigación, enfocando dos unidades de significación. Los resultados posibilitan abarcar el jugar como una manera para que el niño se sienta mejor en el ambiente de la Casa de Apoyo, ya que él se percibe en el mundo con los otros. También les dan visibilidad a los niños con SIDA en la Casa de Apoyo. El estudio señala la importancia de la inclusión de la temática en la formación académica, en la sensibilización de profesionales de salud para el cuidado humanístico y de gestores para que desarrollen políticas públicas específicas para este sector.O artigo compreende o existir de crianças com aids em Casa de Apoio, sob o olhar da Teoria de Enfermagem Humanística. A pesquisa é de cunho qualitativo, com abordagem existencial-fenomenológico-humanística, na Nursology de Paterson e Zderad. No cenário, uma Casa de Apoio a crianças com HIV/aids, no Rio Grande do Sul, coletaramse as informações mediante entrevista fenomenológica cujo público-alvo foram três crianças portadoras de aids. Apresenta-se um recorte das interpretações das informações produzidas pela pesquisa, abordando duas unidades de significação. Os resultados permitem compreender o brincar como um modo de a criança estar-melhor no ambiente da Casa de Apoio, pois ela se percebe no mundo com os outros. Também conferem visibilidade às crianças com aids em Casa de Apoio.
