King´s theory reach to families of persons with systemic arterial hypertension

Resumo: The aim was to verify the reach of the King’s theory (1981) to families of persons with systemic arterial hypertension. The study was developed analyzing the reach of this theory; verification of its applicability in the family context as related by Moreira (1999); and construction of a concept of family with chronic sick persons which is compatible with the theory. The data showed that the theory is interaccionist, with vulnerable borders, and with content elements and context not well defined. In the focalized situation, a family definition with chronic sick persons was built, showing that is possible to use it as part of part of the subject of King’s theory.

El estudio se desarrolló con análisis del alcance de la teoría de King; comprobación del aplicabilidad de eso en el contexto familiar dicho por Moreira (1999) y construcción del concepto familiar con enfermo crónico compatible con la teoría. Fue encontrada una teoría interaccionista, vulnerable en la frontera, que no define sus elementos satisfechos y contexto firmemente. Una definición familiar con enfermo crónico se construyó. Así, ha acabado que es posible usar eso como parte del asunto de la teoría de King.Objetivou-se verificar o alcance da Teoria de King, (King, 1981) junto a famílias de pessoas portadoras de hipertensão arterial sistêmica. O estudo constou de análise do alcance da teoria de King; verificação da aplicabilidade dessa no contexto familiar relatado por Moreira (1999) e construção de conceito de família com doentes crônicos, compatível com a teoria. Os achados mostram uma teoria interacionista, vulnerável na fronteira e com elementos de conteúdo e contexto não firmemente definidos.
