Resumo: The objective of this study is to identify whether the current system of visits schedule and patient´s information at a Clinical and Surgical Intensive Care Unit (ICU) satisfy the patient´s visitors. To do it, two hundred questionnaires were distributed, during a month, and one hundred and sixty returned. The results showed that 70% of the visitors are satisfied with the current schedule; 67% come in daily; 66% are satisfied with the time they have for visiting, 54% asked for access in out of the current schedule, 69% are satisfied with staff information about patients; 88% of the visitors are patient´s relatives. The most frequent suggestion was to increase the visit time at this ICU.

The most frequent suggestion was to increase the visit time at this ICU.El objetivo de este estudio es verificar si el sistema actual de horario de la visita y las informaciones sobre los pacientes de la Unidad de Terapia Intensiva satisface a sus visitantes. Para tanto, si dieron doscientos cuestionarios a los visitantes durante el periodo de 30 días. De aquellos, se volvieram ciento y sesenta. En el análisis de los halazgos se evidenció que 70% están satisfechos com los horários actuales de visita, 67% vienen a visitar todos los días, 66% están satisfechos com el tiempo corriente de visita, 54% pidieron después de la hora, el permiso para quedarse un poco más y 69% están satisfechos con la información dada por el equipo médico.La sugerencia más notable es aumentar el tiempo de visita en esta Unidad.O objetivo deste trabalho foi verificar se o atual sistema de visitação e informações satisfazem os visitantes dos pacientes internados em uma Unidade de Terapia Intensiva de um Hospital Universitário de grande porte. Para isto, foram distribuídos duzentos questionários aos visitantes, no período de um mês, destes retornaram cento e sessenta. A análise dos resultados evidencia que: 70% dos visitantes estão satisfeitos com os atuais horários de visita, 67% fazem visitas diárias, 66% estão satisfeitos com o tempo de visitação, 54% obtiveram permissão para entrar fora do horário, 69% estão satisfeitos com as informações recebidas pela equipe médica e 88% dos visitantes são familiares.
