Gerontologic nursing: reflection upon the work process

Resumo: This article had the objective to reflect about Gerontology Nursing subsided on the work process approach, according to Marx. It is a bibliographical study in which Gerontology Nursing concepts, theoretical arguments, objectives and work process are verified. The results point out that it has as purpose to promote health, prevent diseases, give specific care, recovery and rehabilitation of the elderly, maintaining their functional capacity; as object the older human being and the aging process in itself; as instrumental the specific knowledge about the object, the instruments and the conducts directed to the elder; as product the elder taking care of him/herself and, under that impossibility, being suitable cared by his/her family in an humanistic way, keeping his/her dignity until death. From the reflections done, we applied the learned concepts about the Gerontology Nursing work process, trying to awaken to the importance of including Gerontology subjects while forming Nursing professionals.

Tratase de uno estudio bibliografico donde comprobouse el concepto, los argumentos teoricos, los objetivos y o processo de trabajo de la Enfermería Gerontologíca. Los resultados apuntaron como propósito a la promoción de la salud, la prevención de enfermedades, el cuidado y la recuperación del anciano; como objeto, el anciano y el proceso de envejecimento; como instrumental, el conocimiento en el objeto, los instrumentos y las conductas que se dirigiron al anciano; como producto, el anciano mismo cuidandose o sentiéndose cuidado por la família del, conservándose la dignidad del hasta la muerte. De las reflexiones pode se aplicar conceptos del proceso de trabajo la Enfermería Gerontologíca, buscandose despertar la importacia de la inclusão de contenidos sobre Gerontologia en la formación de los profisionales de enfermería.Este estudo teve por objetivo refletir sobre a Enfermagem Gerontológica subsidiado na abordagem sobre processo de trabalho, segundo Marx. Trata-se de um estudo bibliográfico onde verificou-se o conceito, as fundamentações teóricas, os objetivos e o processo de trabalho da Enfermagem Gerontológica. Os resultados apontaram como sendo sua finalidade à promoção da saúde, a prevenção das doenças, o cuidado específico, a recuperação e a reabilitação dos idosos, mantendo, a sua capacidade funcional; como seu objeto, o ser humano idoso e o próprio processo de envelhecimento; como seu instrumental, o conhecimento específico sobre o objeto, os instrumentos e as condutas direcionadas ao idoso; como seu produto, o idoso autocuidando- se, diante desta impossibilidade, sendo cuidado adequadamente por sua família e sendo-lhe dispensado um cuidado humanístico, conservando sua dignidade até a morte.
