Resumo: | After briefly outlining the premise driving the individual artistic research on two branches of the Workcenter, this text deals with the experience of the viewer, or rather witness, in watching 2009-2012 stagings of The Living Room and I am America. The critical appeal of this art form (only this one?) has to undergo a radical questioning of the interpreter’s role. |

The critical appeal of this art form (only this one?) has to undergo a radical questioning of the interpreter’s role.Après avoir posé brièvement les fondements sur lesquels s’appuie la recherche artistique et individuelle des deux branches du Workcenter, ce texte cherche à raconter l’expérience du spectateur, ou plutôt celle du témoin dans sa rencontre avec The Living Room et I am America dans les versions de 2009-2012. L’appel critique de cette forme d’art (seulement de celle-là?) ne peut pas se passer d’une problématisation radicale du rôle de l’interprétant.Depois de delinear brevemente a premissa que move a pesquisa artística e individual dos dois ramos do Workcenter, este texto procura contar a experiência do espectador, ou melhor da testemunha, no encontro com The Living Room e I am America nas versões de 2009-2012.
