Resumo: This review presents different views on the book At Work with Grotowki on Physical Actions, by Thomas Richards. After mentioning the central themes addressed by Richards and Grotowski, which are of particular interest to students and professionals who do theatre, the text also addresses some of the issues related to the language of the author and to the entire process of translation review and proofreading, carried out at first with the author and then with the publisher. These reflections, which bring up a few concrete examples of that process, may interest, more objectively, scholars and researchers who wish to know in depth Richards’s and Grotowski’s writings.

Après avoir répertorié les thématiques centrales traitées tout au long de ces pages de Richards et Grotowski et qui s’adressent plus particulièrement aux étudiants et professionnels qui font du théâtre, le texte soulève aussi quelques questions liées au langage de l’auteur et à la révision de la traduction, effectuée d’abord par l’auteur, puis par la maison d’édition. Ces réflexions, qui apportent des exemples concrets de ce processus, peuvent avoir de l’intérêt notamment pour les chercheurs ayant envie de plonger dans les interlignes de l’écriture de Richards et de Grotowski.Esta resenha apresenta o livro Trabalhar com Grotowski sobre as ações físicas, de Thomas Richards, sob diferentes pontos de vista. Após indicar os temas centrais tratados ao longo das páginas de Richards e Grotowski, que são de interesse específico de estudantes e profissionais que fazem teatro, o texto também aborda algumas questões relacionadas à linguagem do autor e a todo o processo de revisão da tradução, realizado, primeiro, com o autor, e, em seguida, com a editora.
