Resumo: This text covers the concepts of body and embodiment, creating a lexicon of words serving as instruments to think about the latest theatre studies. It discusses the distinction between body and flesh and their theoretical-practical combination in the notion of embodiment. Likewise, it is supported by works by Marcel Jousse, Richard Schechner, Jean-Marie Pradier, among others, to extend the spectrum of possibilities of thinking about the body in the contemporary scene. Connections are made between Neurosciences, Ethnoscenology and Performance Studies, in particular from the concept of mirror neurons as an embodied simulation of actions and intentions, showing possibilities to expand theatrology by including the study of the relationship between actor and spectator in an interdisciplinary perspective.

Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul2022-10-19info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionhttps://seer.ufrgs.br/index.php/presenca/article/view/24243Brazilian Journal on Presence Studies; Vol. 2 No. 1 (2012): jan./jun. 2012; 36-53Révue Brésilienne d'Études de la Présence; Vol. 2 No. 1 (2012): jan./jun. 2012; 36-53Révue Brésilienne d'Études de la Présence; Vol. 2 No 1 (2012): jan./jun. 2012; 36-53Revista Brasileira de Estudos da Presença; v. 2 n. 1 (2012): jan./jun. 2012; 36-532237-2660reponame:Revista Brasileira de Estudos da Presençainstname:Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS)instacron:UFRGSporhttps://seer.ufrgs.br/index.php/presenca/article/view/24243/50158Copyright (c) 2022 Revista Brasileira de Estudos da Presençainfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessDe Marinis, Marco2022-10-19T12:48:26Zoai:seer.ufrgs.br:article/24243Revistahttp://seer.ufrgs.br/presencaPUBhttps://seer.ufrgs.br/presenca/oai||rev.presenca@gmail.com2237-26602237-2660opendoar:2022-10-19T12:48:26Revista Brasileira de Estudos da Presença - Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS)false
