Resumo: The current business environment is characterized by the search for consistent competitive differential, which are able to add value to organizations and its stockholders along the time. The organizations must be able to keep customers and get new market, for this it is important an employers’ team, that are talented, prepared and motivated. The velocity that the knowledge is spread around the world make it difficult to maintain those differentials for a long time. In this context, an evaluation of the performance that could consider the competitive market and the strategies, and associate the mission, strategies, objectives and the process with the customers’ satisfaction, become a decisive factor for the efficient and effective organizational management. This can assure the growth and survival on the long term. However, a deficient communication about the strategic objectives, the absence of a clear quantitative and qualitative criteria for the operational actions and the absence of an evaluation system for the strategies that were implemented, could be considered critical factors, and, in some cases, the main cause of the unsatisfactory outcomes. The article aims to discuss the importance of the performance evaluation process like a tool to add value for the organization business.

As organizações devem ser capazes de fidelizar seus clientes e conquistar novos mercados e, para isso, é importante possuir uma equipe de colaboradores talentosos, bem preparados e permanentemente motivados. A velocidade com que os conhecimentos são disseminados ao redor do mundo torna difícil a sustentabilidade de tais diferenciais por muito tempo. Neste contexto, a adoção de um sistema de acompanhamento de desempenho que considere a competitividade de mercado e as estratégias estabelecidas, associando missão, estratégia, objetivos e processos com a satisfação dos clientes, torna-se um fator decisivo para a gestão eficiente e eficaz da organização. Isto pode garantir o seu crescimento e a sua sobrevivência no longo prazo. Em contrapartida, a comunicação deficiente dos objetivos estratégicos, falta de uma definição clara de critérios quantitativos e qualitativos para o estabelecimento de ações em nível operacional e ausência de um sistema capaz de acompanhar a implementação das estratégias podem ser considerados fatores críticos, e, em muitos casos, a principal causa da geração de resultados insatisfatórios.
