Resumo: | Although the development of more participatory’s democratic models, driven by active citizenship, is an ideal understandable and desired by all, this can not be achieved without intentionally actions planned and direct to the formation of citizens. The education for citizenship has always had a special interest in youth is political formation. This article analyzes the relationship between youth and citizenship. The results show that in institutional contexts, parliaments, political parties, schools and universities, the societies’development citizenship may favor the incorporation of young people in public life, always as long as a social, cultural and institutional context is constructed based on meaningful participation and a dialogue with the youth. |

La educación para la ciudadanía ha tenido siempre un interés especial por la formación de los jóvenes. En este artículo se pretende analizar esta relación entre juventud y ciudadanía.
