Resumo: This article analyzes the political activity of the National Association of Labor Court Judges (ANAMATRA) in the constitutional process of 1987-88 and in the Judicial Reform of 2004. The goal is to show that the gains achieved by ANAMATRA in the Judicial Reform stemmed from its previous actions in the National Constituent Assembly of 1987-1988, and the joint action with the Superior Labor Court (TST). The work was done with the theoretical framework of the institutionalism.
