Resumo: The present text seeks to analyze the sphere of business law in Brazil lawyers space and its relation to judicial reform in the context of the internationalization of Brazilian law. Utilizing a “law & economics” approach, the paper profiles major law firms and their partners and the proliferation of arbitration courts. The empirical research relies on the qualitative study of documents and interviews carried out with jurists and political leader, with a goal towards understanding the relation between the international circulation of lawyers and the importexport of institutional models, as well as their its repercussions for the redefinition of the legal and political space in Brazil.

Con este propósito, se parte del análisis del espacio académico y de la difusión del ideario de law & economics, el perfil de las grandes sociedades de abogados y de sus principales socios y la expansión de las cámaras de mediación y arbitraje. El material empírico sobre el que se basa este trabajo está constituido principalmente por el análisis cualitativo de documentos y la producción bibliográfica de entrevistas realizadas con juristas y dirigentes políticos. En este sentido, se espera avanzar sobre la hipótesis relativa a la relación entre la circulación internacional de los juristas y los movimientos de exportación-importación de modelos institucionales y su repercusión en la redefinición del espacio jurídico y político brasileño.application/pdfspaRevista política.
