Resumo: | The present study analyzes the process of transfer of organizational knowledge among sub- sidiaries of the same multinational company, established in different countries. The research method used was the unique case study; the company studied is an American multinational one established in Brazil for 33 years. Deep interviews were made with managers of different areas, who have regular contact with colleagues in units abroad. As a result, some negative points in the intercultural transfer of organizational knowledge were identified, including the difficulty due to the great quantity of information to be managed, an eventual "superiority" of developed countries and lack of knowledge about who are the people who possess knowledge that is necessary to learn. |

El método de investigación utilizado fue el estudio de caso. La empresa estudiada es una multinacional americana instalada en Brasil hace 33 años. Se realizaron entrevistas en profundidad con ge- stores de diferentes áreas en contacto frecuente con colegas en unidades en el exterior.
